1.5t magnetom scanner

Manufactured by Siemens
Sourced in Germany

The Siemens 1.5T Magnetom scanner is a magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system that uses a 1.5 tesla (T) superconducting magnet to generate a strong magnetic field for medical imaging. It is designed to capture high-quality images of the body's internal structures and organs.

Longitudinal Study of Symptomatic SVD

RUN DMC is a prospective study of symptomatic SVD. Full methodologic details have been published.7 (link) A total of 503 individuals without dementia with radiologic SVD defined as the presence of 1 or more lacunes or WMH were recruited in 2006. Study participants were assessed at baseline and at follow-up in 2011 and in 2015. Assessment included cognitive, MRI, and clinical assessments. We used the baseline MRI data from the 2006 visit and follow-up data on cognition and incidence of dementia from the 2011 and 2015 visits. Follow-up data on dementia incidence were available for 501 participants. MRI sequences, performed on a 1.5T Magnetom scanner (Siemens, Erlangen, Germany), included whole-brain T1-weighted, FLAIR, and gradient echo.

High-Resolution 3D MRI Brain Scanning

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
MRI scanning was performed in a 1.5‐T Magnetom scanner (Siemens, Erlangen, Germany). The scanning protocol relevant for the present study included a whole brain 3D T1 magnetization‐prepared rapid gradient‐echo sequence (time repetition [TR]/TE/TI 2,250/3.68/850 ms; flip angle 15°; voxel size 1.0 × 1.0 × 1.0 mm) and fluid‐attenuated inversion recovery images (FLAIR) pulse sequences (TRTE/TI 9,000/84/2,200 ms; voxel size 1.0 × 1.2 × 6.0 mm, including slice gap of 1 mm).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
