Curcumin Administration Post-Myocardial Infarction

A total of 24 h after the surgical procedure, the 16 surviving rats in the operation group were randomized to a myocardial infarction group (n=8) and curcumin group (n=8). The rats in the curcumin group were treated with intragastric administration of 150 mg/kg/body weight curcumin (Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China) once a day, as previously described (5 (link)). The rats in the other groups were given distilled water of the same volume.

KN95 Particulate Respirator was purchased from Zhengzhou Wanshenshan Healthcare PPE Co., Ltd, China. Single-use medical face mask was purchased from Zhende medical supplies Co., Ltd, China. The African green monkey kidney cell (Vero-E6) and Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) were obtained from Jiangsu Provincial Center for Disease Control and Prevention, China. All other chemicals were purchased from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co. Ltd., China, and used without further purification. Water used in all experiments was purified by deionization.
