Quantifying Tumor Radiation Dose

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The tumor-to-normal (T:N) ratio was measured on both 99mTc-MAA SPECT/CT and post-90Y bremsstrahlung SPECT/CT (with attenuation correction), using Hybrid Viewer software (Hermes Medical Solutions, Greenville, NC). 3D regions of interest (ROI) were drawn over the target tumors, and over the surrounding normal liver, within the treated arterial distribution. The tumor-to-normal ratio provides an estimate of the ratio of the dose (Gy) or particle density in the tumor, relative to the surrounding liver.

Whole-body 18F-FDG-PET/CT Imaging in Pigs

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Whole body 18F-FDG-PET/CT scans were carried out after a 12 h fast and under isoflurane. 1 h after IV injection of approximately 300 Mbq 18F-FDG, pigs were scanned on a Siemens Biograph Vision 600 integrated PET/CT system. Data were reconstructed using TrueX + TOF with a 440 × 440 matrix, 4 iterations, 5 subsets, a Gaussian filter, and 2 mm full with half maximum. An experienced nuclear medicine physician, using the Hybrid Viewer software (Hermes Medical Solutions, Stockholm, Sweden), analysed all images.

FDG-PET Tumor Volume Delineation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Tumour volumes were delineated on the 60-minute static FDG-PET scans by a nuclear medicine radiologist working on a Hermes workstation and using Hybrid viewer software (Hermes Medical Solutions AB, Stockholm, Sweden). Maximum and mean standardized uptake values (SUV) within each tumour volume were normalized by lean body mass (LBM) and reported as SULmean=SUVmeanLBM/BW and SULmax=SUVmaxLBM/BW respectively, where LBMHume={0.32810×BW+0.33929×H×29.5336(Males)0.29569×BW+0.41813×43.2933(Females)
and BW and H are the body weight in kg and height in cm (Hume, 1966 (link)).

Quantitative Analysis of 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT images were analyzed using Hybrid Viewer software (version 5.1.0; Hermes Medical Solutions, Sweden). The SUVmax was calculated with a spherical volume of interest (VOI) tool. The VOI was drawn manually in the primary tumor, the liver (ie, physiological uptake), and the left psoas major muscle (ie, background). The VOI for the primary tumor was dependent on the tumor size. A fixed VOI of 4 cm3 was used for the right lower lobe of the liver, and a fixed VOI of 2 cm3 was used for the middle of the left psoas major muscle. If multiple tumor lesions were present, for practical reasons, the lesion with the highest 68Ga-DOTATATE uptake was chosen to calculate the SUVmax. Independent of the scanner used, we determined the following 68Ga-DOTATATE PET/CT parameters:
Although SUVmax TLR is most clinically relevant due to the physiological high uptake and the frequent presence of metastases in the liver, an SUVmax TLR ≥ 8.1 appears to be associated with a longer PFS in patients treated with SSA and was therefore also included in our multivariable analysis.10 (link),19 (link)

Ga-68 DOTA-NOC PET/CT Imaging Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
68Ga-DOTA-NOC PET/CT examinations were performed at 1 h after injection 200 MBq of 68Ga-DOTA-NOC which was conducted on a discovery ST16 PET/CT scanner (GE Healthcare, Milwaukee, USA). The whole body scan was performed from vertex to mid thighs (time of flight, 3 min list mode per bed position). Low-dose CT acquisition was performed with 120 kV, 80 mA, 0.8 s per CT rotation. CT data were used for attenuation correction. Studies were interpreted on a Hermes Multimodality workstation using Hybrid Viewer software (Hermes Medical Solutions, Stockholm, Sweden).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
