Hitrap nhs activated affinity column

Manufactured by GE Healthcare
Sourced in United States

The HiTrap NHS-activated affinity column is a lab equipment product designed for protein purification. It is a prepacked column that allows for the covalent immobilization of ligands containing primary amino groups. The column is used in the process of affinity chromatography to separate and purify specific proteins from complex mixtures.

FAMK-1 Protein Purification and Antibody Generation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
FAMK-1 (residues 60–512) was expressed using a modified pI-secSUMOstar vector (LifeSensors) and purified from Hi5 insect cells (Bac-to-Bac, B85502; Invitrogen; Xiao et al., 2013 (link)). The purified protein was sent to Cocalico Biologicals for immunizing rabbits. FAMK-1–specific antibodies were affinity purified from serum with a HiTrap NHS-activated affinity column (17-0716-01; GE Healthcare) on which FAMK-1 was immobilized.

Properdin Depletion by mAb 1340

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
MAb 1340 was coupled to a HiTrap NHS-activated affinity column (GE Healthcare Life Science, Piscatawa, USA) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Properdin was depleted from human serum and plasma by recirculation 3 ml over the mAb 1340 column for 2 h. Through flow was tested in the reported sandwich ELISA and Western blot for properdin concentration. There was no properdin detectable.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
