Pretomanid is a novel antimycobacterial compound developed by the Tuberculosis Alliance. It is a nitroimidazooxazine derivative that inhibits mycolic acid biosynthesis in Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Pretomanid has been shown to have potent activity against drug-resistant strains of tuberculosis.
