Curcumin (CUR) was purchased from HiMedia, Mumbai, India. Hydroxy propyl methyl cellulose acetate succinate (HPMCAS-HF) was kindly gifted by Arihant trading Co., Mumbai, India. Capryol 90 (C-90), Lauroglycol FCC (LFCC), and Labrafac were obtained as gratis from Gattefosse Pvt. Ltd (Mumbai, India). Edible oils (isopropyl myristate, castor oil, oleic acid, ethyl oleate, corn oil, Captex 200, apricot oil, olive oil, and soybean oil) were purchased from HiMedia, Mumbai, India. Aerosil 200 and polyvinyl alcohol (1,25,000 Mol. Wt.) were purchased from CDH, Mumbai, India. 96-well plates (A-U96) were kindly gifted by the Lipidcure Core NOF Corporation, Japan. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate was purchased from Merck, Mumbai, India. All the other chemicals and reagents used in the study were of analytical grade.

Cultivation and Characterization of M.tb

MIP and M.tb (H37Rv strain) were cultivated in Middlebrook 7H9 broth supplemented with 10% ADC at 100 rpm in 37°C. Plating was done on Middlebrook 7H11-OADC plates containing Hygromycin B (conc. 2 μg/ ml). Oleic acid, Catalase, Lowenstein-Jensen (LJ) Media were obtained from HiMedia Laboratories, India. GFP expressing M.tb was prepared by the method described in [11 (link)].

Apremilast was received as a gift sample from Glenmark life Sciences Ltd, Ankleshwar, Gujarat. Sefsol 218, Sefsol 228, Transcutol P were collected from Gattefosse, France. Glyceryl Monostearate, Tween 80, propylene glycol, tween 20, oleic acid, olive oil, PEG 400, Isopropyl alcohol, n butanol were procured from Himedia Laboratories Pvt. Ltd. Stearic acid, palmitic acid, and myristic acid were obtained from Daejung Chemical (Cheongwon, Korea). Ultra-pure deionized water was used throughout the experiments. All other solvents and chemicals used were of analytical grades or higher.
