1,6-dibromhexane (Br-C₆H₁₂-Br, 97%) was obtained from Tokyo Chemical Industry Co. Ltd., Tokyo, Japan. 2,2′-azobis(2-methylpropionamidine) dihydrochloride (AIBA, 97%) was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. N-isopropylacrylamide (NIPAm, 99%), sulfasalazine (SSZ, 95%), and 1-vinylimidazole (VIM, 99%) were obtained from J&K Chemical Ltd., Shanghai, China Tris (hydroxymethyl) aminomethane (Tris-HCl, 99.8%) was purchased from Acros Organics. Sodium dihydngen phoshate anhydrous (99%) and sodium phosphate dibasic (99%) were purchased from Shanghai Macklin Biochemical Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China. Nitrate salts with twenty different metal ions were tested in the present work, whose detailed description was given in supporting information. They were obtained from J&K Chemical Ltd., Shanghai Aladdin Bio-Chem Technology Co., Ltd., and Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd., Shanghai, China, respectively. All of the reagents were used as received without further purification.
