Tetramethylbenzidine substrate
Tetramethylbenzidine (TMB) substrate is a chromogenic substrate used in various immunoassays, such as enzyme-linked immunosorbent assays (ELISA). It serves as a colorimetric indicator, producing a blue color upon oxidation by peroxidase enzymes. The intensity of the blue color is proportional to the amount of the target analyte present in the sample.

Then, the plates were reacted with sera from chickens immunized with the corresponding proteins.
Commercial peroxidase-conjugated rabbit anti-chicken IgG (Sigma) was used as the secondary antibody. Following incubation with tetra-methylbenzidine substrate (Tiangen Biotech (Beijing) Co., ltd., China), the reaction was stopped with 0.5 M sulfuric acid and the optical density of each well was measured at a wavelength of 450 nm.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
