3 l tedlar bag

Manufactured by SKC
Sourced in United Kingdom

The 3-L Tedlar bag is a versatile laboratory equipment used for the collection and storage of gas samples. It is made of Tedlar, a highly inert polymer material, which ensures the integrity of the samples. The bag has a capacity of 3 liters and is designed to provide a reliable and contamination-free environment for gas sampling and analysis.

Breath Collection and Analysis by TD-GC-MS

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Patients were asked to inflate a 3-L Tedlar bag (SKC Ltd., Dorset, UK). Within an hour of collection, its contents were transferred into carbon-filled stainless-steel desorption tubes (Markes International, Llantrisant Business Park, UK). In each study center, 1 room was assigned to be used for breath collection purposes. Breath samples were analyzed by thermal desorption-gas chromatography coupled with time-of-flight mass spectrometry (TD-GC-MS), as described previously (27 (link)).

Breath Sampling for Volatile Analysis

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Details on the sample collection and storage method have been previously described.8 The participants were asked to breathe into a 3L Tedlar® bag (SKC Inc. 231-03). The exhaled breath (3L) in the Tedlar® bag was immediately pumped onto an adsorbent thermal desorption (TD) tube (Tenax® TA and Carbograph-1TD; Markes International, C2AAXX-5032) which was capped immediately with brass storage caps (Markes International, C-CF010) A 0.5L environmental air sample was collected at a flow of 500 mL min−1 directly onto a TD tube using an ESCORT ELF® (Zefon International, 805558) pump adjacent to the participants.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
