Ultimaster Stent: Biodegradable Polymer Coating

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The Ultimaster stent (Terumo Corporation, Tokyo, Japan) is a thin-strut (80 μm) cobalt–chromium sirolimus-eluting stent with an open-cell design [9 (link)]. Sirolimus is embedded in a biodegradable polymer coating (poly-D, L-lactic acid polycaprolactone) that is fully metabolized through dl-lactide and caprolactone into carbon dioxide and water in 3–4 months. The gradient coating reduces polymer cracking and delamination at the stent hinges. The coating is applied on the abluminal side of the struts only, and a bare metal stent remains after resorption of the coating in 3–4 months. For the current study, stent lengths of 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 33, and 38 mm were available with a diameter of 2.25 mm.

Ultimaster Stent: Bioresorbable Polymer-Coated Sirolimus Delivery

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The Ultimaster stent (Terumo Corporation, Tokyo, Japan)8 is an 80 μm‐thick cobalt‐chromium device mounted on a semi‐compliant balloon, with an abluminal, gradient coating of bioresorbable polymer (PDLLA‐PCL: poly (d, l) lactic acid‐polycaprolactone) as a delivery system for the immunosuppressant sirolimus. The polymer degrades over 3–4 months. Stent sizes are available from 2.25 to 4 mm diameter, in lengths of 9, 12, 15, 18, 24, 28, 33, and 38 mm.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
