Alpha smooth muscle actin α sma antibody

Manufactured by Abcam
Sourced in United States

Alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) antibody is a protein that binds to and detects the presence of alpha-smooth muscle actin, a cytoskeletal protein found in vascular smooth muscle cells. This antibody can be used in techniques such as immunocytochemistry and Western blotting to identify and quantify alpha-smooth muscle actin in biological samples.

Immunofluorescence of Atrial Fibroblasts

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Atrial fibroblasts were fixed with 4% paraformaldehyde for 20 min at room temperature and then permeabilized with 0.5% Triton X-100 for 20 min at room temperature. The primary antibodies used in this experiment were incubated at 4 ℃ overnight, as follows: alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) antibody (1:100, Abcam, US) and then incubated with the following secondary antibodies (Beyotime, China, 1:200) for 90 min at room temperature. Nuclei were stained with DAPI (Beyotime, China). Cells were observed using a laser scanning confocal microscope (100x, ZEISS 510S, Germany).

Macrophage and Fibroblast Immunostaining

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Macrophages were stained by DAPI simultaneously with CD68, HLA-DR, or CD206. Fibroblasts were stained by Actin, DAPI, Collagen Ⅰ antibody (1:100, Abcam, USA), vinculin (VCL) antibody (1:100, Abcam, USA), Integrin β1 antibody (1:100, Abcam, USA), and alpha-smooth muscle actin (α-SMA) antibody (1:100, Abcam, USA) for different purposes.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
