FAM-DEVD-FMK is a fluorogenic caspase-3 substrate. It contains a fluoromethyl ketone (FMK) moiety that irreversibly binds to and inhibits active caspase-3 in cells. The substrate is labeled with a fluorescein (FAM) fluorescent dye, which allows for the detection and quantification of caspase-3 activity.
