Cho ex cell

Manufactured by Merck Group

CHO EX-CELL is a specialized cell culture medium designed to support the growth and maintenance of Chinese Hamster Ovary (CHO) cells. It provides the necessary nutrients and components required for the optimal growth and viability of CHO cells, which are commonly used in the production of biopharmaceuticals.

DFT1 cell line C5065 and DFT2 cell line JV were cultured at 35°C with 5% CO2 in cRF10 [10% complete RPMI (Gibco no. 11875-093) with 2 mM l-glutamine, supplemented with 10% heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum, and 1% antibiotic-antimycotic (Thermo Fisher Scientific no. 15240062)]. RPMI without phenol red (Sigma-Aldrich no. R7509) was used to culture FAST protein cell lines when supernatants were collected for downstream flow cytometry assays. Devil peripheral blood cells were cultured in cRF10 at 35°C with 5% CO2. CHO cells were cultured at 37°C in cRF10 during transfections and drug selection but were otherwise cultured at 35°C in cRF5 (5% complete RPMI). For production of purified recombinant proteins, stably transfected CHO cells were cultured in suspension in spinner flasks in chemically defined, serum-free CHO EX-CELL (Sigma-Aldrich no. 14361C) media supplemented with 8 mM l-glutamine, 10 mM Hepes, 50 μM 2-ME, 1% (v/v) antibiotic-antimycotic, and 1 mM sodium pyruvate and without hygromycin.

Devil facial tumor 1 cell lines C5065, 1426, and 4096, the DFT2 cell line JV, and devil PBMCs were cultured at 35°C in 5% CO2 in complete RPMI supplemented with 10% FBS (cRF10), 2 mM l-glutamine, penicillin–streptomycin (100 U/ml and 0.1 mg/ml), 10 mM HEPES, and 0.5 mM β-mercaptoethanol. Chinese hamster ovary (CHO) cells were cultured at 35°C with 5% CO2 in 5% complete RPMI supplemented with 5% FBS (cRF5). For production of recombinant proteins, stably transfected CHO cells were cultured in suspension in spinner flasks in chemically defined, serum-free CHO Ex-Cell (Sigma # 14361C) media supplemented with l-glutamine and penicillin–streptomycin.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
