(St. Luis, MO, USA). Ammonium molybdate and peroxide were purchased from Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany), while sulfuric acid was purchased from May and Baker LTD (Dagenham, UK). Potato dextrose broth was purchased from Difco (BD, Franklin Lakes, NJ, USA) All other chemicals used in the experiments were of analytical grade. Potassium dihydrogen phosphate, glucose, hydrogen peroxide (30%) and calcium chloride were obtained from Merck KGaA (Darmstadt, Germany).
