Proteins were extracted in pre-heated (95°C) 2X Laemmli sample buffer (62 mM Tris HCl pH 6.8, 3% SDS, 40% glycerol, 0,1% bromophenol blue, DTT 100mM, quantified using amido-black staining⁹⁷ (link) and 20μg of total proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE, either on 7–12% Tris-glycine gels or gradient NuPAGE 4–12% Bis-Tris Protein Gels (Thermo Fischer) or gradient Criterion TGX gel (4–15%) (BioRad).
