Kd 804 shodex gel columns

Manufactured by Agilent Technologies

The KD-804 Shodex gel columns are high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) columns used for size-exclusion chromatography (SEC) applications. These columns are designed to separate and analyze the molecular weight distribution of various macromolecules, such as proteins, polymers, and other large molecules, in complex samples.

Determining Polymer Molar Masses by SEC

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The apparent molar masses and the dispersities of poly(γ-benzyl-L-glutamate)-block-ELP and ELP were determined by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) on a PL GPC50 integrated system from Agilent equipped with two KD-804 Shodex gel columns (300 × 8 mm) (exclusion limits from 4000 Da to 200 000 Da). The detector used in this determination is a refractive index detector (Jasco 1530-RI). Dimethylformamide (DMF) was used as eluent (0.8 mL.min -1 ) at 50 °C in the presence of LiBr (1 g.L -1 ) and the calibration used polystyrene (PS) as standard. Cary 100 UV-Visible spectrophotometer equipped with a multi-cell thermoelectric temperature controller from Agilent Technologies (Les Ulis, FR) and the solutions placed in 1 cm quartz cells. The T t is defined as the temperature corresponding to the maximum of the derivative curve of the absorbance versus temperature, often also named inflection point.

The molar masses and the dispersities of poly(γ-benzyl-L-glutamate)-block-ELP and the ELP precursor were determined by size exclusion chromatography (SEC) on a PL GPC50 integrated system from Agilent equipped with two KD-804 Shodex gel columns (300 x 8 mm) (exclusion limits from 4000 Da to 200 000 Da). The detector used is a refractive index detector (Jasco 1530-RI), dimethylformamide (DMF) has been used as eluent (0.8 mL.min -foot_0 ) at 50 °C in the presence of LiBr (1 g.L -1 ).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
