Annexin 5 fitc cell apoptosis kit
The Annexin V/FITC Cell Apoptosis Kit is a laboratory tool used to detect and quantify apoptosis, a form of programmed cell death. The kit utilizes annexin V, a calcium-dependent phospholipid-binding protein, which has a high affinity for phosphatidylserine (PS) residues. During apoptosis, PS is translocated from the inner to the outer leaflet of the plasma membrane, where it can be detected by annexin V. The kit also includes FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate), a fluorescent dye, which is conjugated to annexin V to enable the visualization and quantification of apoptotic cells using flow cytometry or fluorescence microscopy.

Cell apoptosis was performed using Annexin V-FITC cell apoptosis kit (Keygen Biotech, Nanjing, China) according to the kit instructions. Briefly, after treating with chidamide or icotinib alone, or in combination for 48h, the cells from both suspension and adherence were collected and co-incubated with Annexin V-fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and PI, then measured on a Becton-Dickinson FACScan instrument (BD Biosciences, NJ, USA) using Cell Quest software. This analysis allows discrimination between viable (annexin V-/PI-), early (annexin V+/PI-) and late (annexin V+/PI+) apoptotic cells, as well as necrotic and/or part of late apoptotic (annexin V-/PI+) cells.
About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
