Mice were intracardially perfused with ice-cold PFA (4% in PBS, pH 7.4). Brains were removed, postfixed, embedded in gelatin (Mallinckrodt Baker), and cryostat-sectioned at 40 µm. Sections were stained with anti-TRIM3/BERP (BD Biosciences), and staining was visualized using VECTASTAIN ABC standard kit (Vector Laboratories). Nissl staining was used for gross morphological characterization of brain slices.
