Histopathological Analysis of Liver Samples

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Liver histopathological morphology was examined using a hematoxylin and eosin (H&E) staining kit (Solarbio Biotechnology, Beijing, China). Liver tissues were fixed in 10% neutral formalin solution, embedded in paraffin, and serially sectioned (5 µm thick). The sections were fixed on slides, dewaxed in xylene, and rehydrated in an ethanol gradient. Afterward, the sections were washed with distilled water for 2 min, stained with hematoxylin for 10 min, differentiated for 3 min, and stained with eosin for 2 min. The sections were sealed with glycerol gelatin. Finally, the sections observed and photographed under a digital section scanner (3D HISTECH, DANJIER Electronic Co., Ltd., Jinan, China).

The samples were decalcified and fixed in formaldehyde, dehydrated, embedded in paraffin, and sectioned. HE staining was performed using the Hematoxylin and Eosin (HE) Staining Kit (Solarbio, Beijing, China) according to the manufacturer's instructions. Briefly, paraffin sections were deparaffinized, hydrated, stained using the hematoxylin staining solution for 5-20 minutes, and introduced into the differentiation solution for 30 seconds. The sections were washed with warm water at 37°C, introduced in eosin dye solution, washed, soaked again, dehydrated, made transparent using xylene, mounted, sealed with neutral gum, and observed under a microscope.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
