Multi-walled carbon nanotubes (MWCNTs, diameter: 10–20 nm, length: 5–15 μm), cysteamine, dicyclohexylcarbodiimide (DCC), 1-ethyl-3- (3-dimethyl aminopropyl) carbodiimide (EDC), and N-Hydroxysuccinimide (NHS) were purchased from Aladdin (Shanghai, China). Hexaammineruthenium chloride (RuHex) and
6-Mercapto-1- Hexanol (MCH) were purchased from Sigma (St. Louis, MO, USA). H

All oligonucleotides used in this work were synthesized and purified by TaKaRa Inc. (Dalian, China), and the sequences are shown in
Table 1.
The buffer solutions used in this study were as follows: the buffer for immobilization of the probe ssDNA contained 10 mM Tris-HCl, 1 mM ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA), and 1 M NaCl (pH 8.0). The hybridization buffer was a 10 mM phosphate buffer solution (PBS) containing 1 M NaCl (pH 7.4).
