Canto instrument

Manufactured by BD
Sourced in United States

The Canto instrument is a flow cytometry system designed for the analysis of cells and particles. It is capable of detecting and measuring multiple parameters of individual cells or particles in a sample. The Canto instrument provides accurate and reliable data to support research and clinical applications.

Cell Cycle Analysis by Flow Cytometry

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
For cell-cycle analysis, cells were fixed in 70% ethanol for at least 1 h at 4 °C. Then cells were washed and resuspended in 1 ml PBS containing 8 μg RNAse A and 50 μg propidium iodide. The cell suspensions were incubated in the dark at room temperature for 30 min prior to FACS analysis. Flow cytometry was performed on a Becton Dickinson Canto instrument (BD Biosciences, San Jose, CA, USA) and red fluorescence PI-labeled cells were measured through a 600 nm wave-length filter. Analysis was performed according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Stromal Vascular Fraction Analysis of Epididymal Adipose Tissue

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Epididymal adipose tissue was excised from 26w old HFD mice, minced, and
incubated in 1mg/ml Type 2 Collagenase (Sigma) for 1 hour at 37°C.
Folllowing RBC lysis, the stromal vascular fraction cells were counted and
stained. Data were acquired on a Canto instrument (BD Biosciences) equipped for
the detection of 8 fluorescent parameters. The following antibodies were used
for FACS analysis: anti-CD3-PerCPCy5.5 (145-2C11), anti-CD11b eFluor450 (M1/70),
anti-B220-APC (RA3-6B2), anti-CD45-PECy7 30-F11) (all from eBioscience);
anti-CD19-PECy7 (1D3), anti-GR1-APCCy7 (RB6-8C5), (all from BD Biosciences);
anti-F4/80-PerCPCy5.5 (BM8.1) (Tonbo Biosciences).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
