Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Compound K (purity > 98%) used in the present study was isolated from P. ginseng, and its structural identities were determined spectroscopically (1H and 13NMR, IR, MS) as previously described [21] (link). RPMI 1640 medium, DMEM medium, fetal bovine serum (FBS), penicillin, streptomycin, and Fura-2/AM were obtained from Life Technologies Inc (Chicago, IL, USA). 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)- 2,5-diphenyl-tertazolium bromide (MTT), dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO), RNase A, phenylmethylsulfonylfluoride (PMSF), propidium iodide (PI), 4-phenylbutyrate (4-PBA), 2-aminoethoxydiphenyl borate (2-APB), dantrolene, BAPTA-AM, ethylene glycol tetraacetic acid (EGTA), and CGP37157 were purchased from Sigma Chemical Co. The following antibodies for caspase-3, caspase-7, caspase-9, poly (ADP-ribose) polymerase (PARP), XBP-1, c-FLIPL, Bid, Bcl-2, Bcl-xL, p-eIF2α, GADD 153, m-calpain, and β-actin were purchased from Santa Cruz Biotechnology, Inc (Santa Cruz, CA, USA). The antibodies for X-linked inhibitor of apoptosis protein (XIAP), caspase-8, and caspase-12 were purchased from BD Biosciences, Pharmingen (San Jose, CA, USA). The antibodies for IRE1α and GRP78 were purchased from Cell Signaling Technology (Denvers, MA, USA). z-VAD-fmk, z-ATAD-fmk were purchased from Calbiochem (San Diego, CA, USA).

Protocol for Adenovirus-Mediated Gene Delivery

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Fetal bovine serum (FBS), Dulbecco’s modified Eagle’s medium (DMEM), penicillin, streptomycin, Lipofectamine 2000, adenovirus, plasmid purification kits, Gateway™ Adenovirus Cloning Kit and trypsin-EDTA were obtained from Invitrogen (Shanghai, China). RIPA buffer and protease inhibitor cocktail were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). The real-time PCR kit was obtained from Tiangen Biotech Inc. (Beijing, China), CCK-8 Kit purchased from Beyotime Biotech Inc. (Haimen, Jiangsu, China), and DAPI and the DeadEndTM Colorimetric TUNEL System was purchased from Promega Corporation (Madison, WI, USA). An enhanced chemiluminescence detection reagent kit (ECL kit) was purchased from Thermo Scientific (Waltham, MA, USA). Primary antibodies against β-actin, Bax, Bad, m-calpain, caspase-4, cleaved and pro-caspase-3, and CHOP were obtained from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (Santa Cruz, CA, USA). Avidin-biotin-horseradish peroxidase (ABC) complex, bovine serum albumin (BSA), horseradish-peroxidase (HRP)-conjugated goat anti-rabbit and anti-mouse secondary antibody were obtained from Shanghai Sangon (Shanghai, China). For experiments, 10 mmol/L adenosine was dissolved in DMEM; 2% BSA, 4% paraformaldehyde and 0.2% triton X-100 were dissolved in phosphate-buffered saline (PBS).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
