Digital bp machine

Manufactured by Omron
Sourced in Japan

The Digital BP machine is an electronic device used to measure and display a person's blood pressure. It automatically inflates a cuff, which is wrapped around the arm, to measure the systolic and diastolic blood pressure. The measured values are then displayed on the digital screen.

Measuring Patient Blood Pressure

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
An Omron brand digital BP machine (code: HEM-7201) was used to measure patient blood pressure following the standard processes by the Joint National Committee VII (Joint National Committee, 2003 ). Blood pressures were obtained twice. The values for systolic and diastolic blood pressures were averaged.

Anthropometric Measurements and Blood Pressure Assessment

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Anthropometry includes measurements of body weight, height, hip circumference (HC) and waist circumference (WC) were performed following the standard procedures described elsewhere28 (link)–37 (link). Briefly, the body weight was measured by digital weighing machines (Beurer 700, Germany) to the nearest 0.1 kg38 (link). The standing body height (stature) was measured to the nearest 0.1 cm using a measuring tape. BMI was calculated as the ratio of a person’s weight in kilograms (kg) divided by the height in meters squared (m2). The systolic (SBP) and diastolic (DBP) blood pressures were recorded by a digital BP machine (Omron, Tokyo, Japan). A mean value of two consecutive blood pressure measurements was calculated for each subject and used for the analysis.

Standardized Blood Pressure Measurement

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
BP measurement was the primary outcome. An Omron brand digital BP machine (code HEM-7201) was used to measure participants’ BP following the standard processes identified by the Joint National Committee VII affiliated with National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute (). BP measurements were obtained twice. The values for systolic and diastolic BPs were averaged.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
