Ultrasensitive colorimetric assay for nitric oxide synthase kit

Manufactured by Oxford Biomedical Research

The Ultrasensitive Colorimetric Assay for Nitric Oxide Synthase kit is a laboratory tool used to quantify the activity of nitric oxide synthase enzymes. It employs a colorimetric detection method to measure the production of nitrite, an indicator of nitric oxide synthesis.

Nitrite Production and NOS Activity

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The production of nitrite, the stable derivative of NO, was measured spectrophotometrically by the Griess methods, as described in [23 (link)]. Nitrite concentration was expressed as nanomoles/min/mg cellular proteins. The activity of NOS in cell lysates was measured using the Ultrasensitive Colorimetric Assay for Nitric Oxide Synthase kit (Oxford Biomedical Research, Oxford, MI), as per manufacturer’s instructions. The enzyme activity was expressed as nanomoles of nitrites/min/mg cellular proteins.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
