Iron(iii) chloride hexahydrate (FeCl3·6H2O), iron(ii) chloride tetrahydrate (FeCl2·4H2O), graphite nanopowder (type-1), paraffin liquid oil (extrapure), potassium permanganate (KMnO4), ammonium hydroxide (NH4OH), concentrated sulphuric acid (H2SO4), hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), sodium nitrate (NaNO3), potassium chloride (KCl), potassium ferricyanide ([K3Fe(CN)6]) extrapure 98%, agarose (low EEO), CaCl2 fused pure (90–95%), sucrose, sodium borohydride powder (NaBH4), magnesium sulphate dried extrapure (MgSO4·xH2O), sodium phosphate monobasic dihydrate extrapure (NaH2PO4·2H2O) and sodium bicarbonate extrapure (NaHCO3) were purchased from SRL chemicals. Dopamine hydrochloride, uric acid, acetic acid and serotonin hydrochloride were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Chitosan (0.5% in 0.5% acetic acid) obtained from Tokyo Chemical Industry (TCI Chemicals). Glucose (d-glucose anhydrous) was purchased from Nice Chemicals. All the mentioned chemicals were used for analysis without any further purifications.

Cerium-Vanadium Nanocomposite Enzyme Assay

Electrochemical Detection of CagA Antigen

CagA antigen and antibodies were procured from the Max von Pettenkofer Institute of Hygiene and Medical Microbiology, Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich, Germany and stored at −20 °C till further use. The monomer, cross-linker, initiator, and methanol were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich, India, and were used without any further purification. Other chemicals, including K3[Fe(CN)6], K4[Fe(CN)6], and KCl, were purchased from Sisco Research Laboratory (SRL), Mumbai, India. All other chemicals were of analytical reagent (AR) grade and all aqueous solutions were prepared in double distilled water throughout the experiments. Cyclic voltammetric (CV) and electrochemical impedance studies (EIS) were performed using Bio-Logic Science Instruments SP-200 with EC-Lab® software with an impedance analysis module. The working electrode was the screen-printed carbon electrode (SPE). Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and Brunauer–Emmett–Teller (BET) were used to study the surface morphology and surface area of synthesized MIP with and without template CagA. The Material Studio version 2018r1 software package (Accelrys Inc., San Diego, CA, USA) [28 ] was used to conduct computational simulations.
