Cocaine Addiction Study in Mice

CX3CR1-GFP (002582) and WT C57BL/6J mice were purchased from Jackson lab (Bar Harbor, ME, USA) and kept in the lab. All the animals were housed under conditions of constant temperature and humidity on a 12 h light, 12 h dark cycle, with lights on at 07:00 h. Food and water were available ad libitum. All animal procedures were performed according to the protocols approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of the University of Nebraska Medical Center (project IACUC # 18-030-04-FC, and the most recent three-year renewal approval date 8 March 2021) and the National Institutes of Health.
