Ocfd03 ft4

Manufactured by PerkinElmer
Sourced in France

The OCFD03-FT4 is a fluorescence spectrometer designed for analytical applications. It measures the fluorescence emission spectra of samples excited by a light source. The instrument is capable of detecting and quantifying fluorescent compounds in various matrices.

Thyroid Function Assessment by RIA and IRMA

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Free thyroxine (fT4) concentration was measured by radioimmunoassay (RIA, OCFD03-FT4, Cis-Biointernational, France), with a reference range of 7-18 pg/mL. Thyroid-stimulating hormone (TSH) concentration was determined immunoradiometrically (IRMA TSH, INEP, Zemun, Serbia), with a reference range of 0.3-5.5 mU/L. All measurements were made on a Wallac Wizard 1470 Automatic gamma counter (PerkinElmer Life Sciences, WallacOy, 2005, Finland).

Measuring Serum Free Thyroxine Levels

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To confirm that RAI treatment caused hypothyroidism, serum levels of free thyroxine
(FT4) were measured using a commercially available radioimmunoassay kit
(OCFD03-FT4) (Cisbio Bioassays, Codolet, France) following the manufacturer’s protocol.
Intra- and inter-assay coefficients of variance for FT4 were less than 15%. The
limit of detection of FT4 under the test conditions was 0.5 pg/ml. All samples
were run in duplicate.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
