Tuna Liver Fatty Acid Profiling

The freshly collected tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) livers were supplied by Ning Bo Today Food Co. (Zhejiang, China) from the same batch of canning processing. Endogenous enzymes were all inactivation prior to rapid freezing at −40 °C. Frozen samples were then transported at −18 °C vehicle, arrived the laboratory within same day. All samples were immediately transferred and stored in a − 30 °C freezer room. Samples were set in a 4 °C refrigerator overnight for thawing before all processing and analysis.
Boron trifluoride (BF3) in methanol (13–15%) was provided by Adamas-Beta Co. (Shanghai, China). Standards of 37 individual fatty acid methyl esters were purchased from ANPEL Laboratory Technologies Co. (Shanghai, China). HPLC-grade hexane was acquired from Aladdin Reagent Co. (Shanghai, China). Analytical-grade chloroform, methanol, n-hexane, ether, isopropanol, isooctane, acetic acid, sodium hydroxide, sodium chloride, potassium iodide, sodium thiosulfate, and p-anisidine were provided from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co. Technical-grade DME gas (99.95% purity) was purchased from Jingong Special Gas Co. (Hangzhou, China).

Lipase-Catalyzed Biodiesel Production

Lipases from the Rhizopus oryzae (ROL) and Burkholderia cepacia (BCL) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich. Polyethyleneimines with 1800 molecular weight, sebacoyl chloride (SC), cyclohexane, Span 80 and bovine serum albumin (BSA) were brought from Shenshi Chemical Industry. Rhodamine B (RhB), sodium fluorescein (Flu), FITC (fluorescein isothiocyanate), FITC-dextran (4 K and 10 K), and reference standards of fatty acid methyl esters were commercially obtained from Sigma-Aldrich. Other reagents, such as acetone, lauric acid, laurinol, ethanol, isooctane, tert-butanol, hexane, Na2HPO4, NaH2PO4, and NaOH were of analytical grade and got from Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co. Ltd (Shanghai, China). Soybean oil was taken from local market and its physical properties are: saponification value 183.8 mg/g, acid value 0.23 mg/g, average mean molecular weight 917. The fatty acid compositions are listed in Table 1. The water used in all the experiments is purified with a water purification system and with a resistivity higher than 18.2 MΩcm. The carbon nanotubes used (CNTs) in the microcapsules are multiwalled with 20–40 nm for bore diameter, less than 5 μm for length.

China).
Approximately 350 fresh duck (Anas platyrhucus) eggs weighing
65–75 g, which were retrieved within 3 days of laying. RE was bought from
Henan Yuzhong Biotechnology, China. RE was extracted from dried rosemary
(Rosmarinus oficinalis L.) which is
water-soluble/oil-soluble materials (supplementary Fig. S1). In addition, the
extract contains the main components such as rosmanol, carnosol, and carnosic
acid. Moreover, the studied RE composition is in agreement with Nakatani and Inatani (1981) (link), Zhang et al. (2010) (link), and Rocío Teruel et al. (2015) (link) who
proved that carnosol, rosmanol, and carnosic acid are the main compound in the
RE.
