Akt and pakt antibodies

Manufactured by Santa Cruz Biotechnology

AKT and pAKT antibodies are proteins used in scientific research to detect and measure the levels of AKT and phosphorylated AKT (pAKT) in cells and tissues. AKT is a key enzyme involved in various cellular processes, including cell growth, survival, and metabolism. The pAKT antibody specifically recognizes the phosphorylated form of AKT, which is an indicator of AKT activation. These antibodies can be used in various experimental techniques, such as Western blotting, immunohistochemistry, and flow cytometry, to study the role of AKT and its activation in different biological systems.

AGS (gastric cancer), MKN1 (gastric cancer), SNU1197 (colon cancer), AsPC1 (pancreatic cancer), PANC1 (pancreatic cancer), and Hek293 (normal kidney) cell lines were obtained from the Korean Cell Line Bank (Seoul, Korea). Antibiotics (penicillin/streptomycin), fetal bovine serum (FBS), and Roswell Park Memorial Institute (RPMI)-1640 cell culture growth medium were purchased from Gibco (Thermo Fisher Scientific). Bio-Rad Laboratories Inc. Provided the chemicals and materials used for electrophoresis. EZ-CYTOX cell viability, proliferation, and cytotoxicity assay kits were purchased from Do Gen Bio (Korea). Antibodies specific for ERK, pERK, S6, pS6, PARP, and KRAS were acquired from Cell Signaling Technology (Danvers, MA, USA). Santa Cruz provided the AKT and pAKT antibodies and β-actin.

Mouse fibroblast line NIH-3T3 cells were obtained from ATCC (Manassas, VA) and maintained in complete Dulbecco’s Modified Eagle Medium(DMEM) containing 10% fetal bovine serum (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA), 100 units of penicillin and 100 µg of streptomycin at 37 °C in 5% CO2. Ang II was purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO). PI3Kγ inhibitor AS605240 was purchased from Selleckchem (Huston, TX). Akt and p-Akt antibodies were obtained from Santa Cruz Biotechnology (Dallas, TX); while Col1a, fibronectin, α-Sma and Gapdh antibodies were purchased from Abcam (Cambridge, MA). Unless otherwise indicated, all chemicals were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO) or Thermo-Fisher Scientific (Pittsburgh, PA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
