Flavopiridol Cytotoxicity in Glioma Cells

All the cell lines used in this study (U87MG, T98G, and U118MG) were grown in DMEM (Lonza) supplemented with 5% heat-inactivated fetal bovine serum (Lonza), 100 U/ml penicillin and 100 μg/ml streptomycin (Lonza). Cells were grown in a humidified incubator containing 5% CO 2 and 95% air at 37°C. Flavopiridol was obtained from Enzo. A 10 mM stock solution was prepared in dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO). Flavopiridol (150 nM-10 µM) was diluted and added to cells that were growing on cell culture dishes. All assays were performed at 24, 48, and 72 h of incubation.
