B6d2f1 j

Manufactured by Jackson ImmunoResearch

B6D2F1/J is a mouse strain that is commonly used as a source of cells or tissues for experimental purposes. It is a hybrid strain derived from a cross between the C57BL/6J and DBA/2J mouse strains. The strain is often used in immunological research, as it provides a source of cells with a diverse genetic background.

Aurka KO Fertility Trials in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Sexually mature wild-type Aurkafl/fl and Aurkafl/fl;Gdf9-Cre (Aurka KO) female mice ages 5 to 13 weeks were continuously mated to wild type B6D2 (Jackson Laboratories B6D2F1/J, #100006) male mice with proven fertility until a total of 5 litters were produced by WT female mice. Average age of female mice at the end of the fertility trials was 6 months.

All the rodent experiments were performed under the ethical guidelines of the Salk Institute, and animal protocols were reviewed and approved by the Salk Institute Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (Protocol #12-00021). All mice (C57BL/6J, B6D2F1/J, ICR and NOD.Cg-Prkdcscid Il2rgtm1Wjl/SzJ) and rats (Sprague Dawley) used in this study were purchased from Envigo (Harlan) or The Jackson Laboratory, and bred in the animal facility of the Salk Institute.

Hoxa13Cre-WPRE and Hoxa13Cre mice generated in this study were described below. For timed matings, embryonic day 0.5 (E0.5) was identified by the time a vaginal plug was discovered. The pregnant dams at the indicated times were sacrificed and the embryo and placenta were dissected out from the uterus. All experiments were performed at least twice using different litters and used littermate controls on a mixed background unless otherwise indicated. These mice were maintained in a specific pathogen-free environment under a 14/10 hour light/dark cycle and all animal experiments described were performed in accordance and approval of the University of Pennsylvania Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee.

Coccidioides Infection in Female Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Female C57BL/6J (Stock Number 000664) and B6D2F1/J (Stock Number 100006) were ordered at 6–8 weeks of age from The Jackson Laboratory. Mice were housed according to PHS standards; all procedures were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of the University of Arizona. Female mice were used for ease of housing and handling under biosafety level 3 conditions. We have historically seen no sex differences in Coccidioides infection. Mice were housed and manipulated in an animal biosafety level 3 facility for the duration of the infection studies.

Experiments were conducted by deriving ESC lines from the following strains: C57BL/6NJ (Jackson 005304), C57BL/6J (Jackson 000664), 129S2 (Charles River 476), B6129SF1/J (Jackson 101043; a F1 cross between C57BL/6J and 129S1/SvImJ), Dlk1 Tomato and Dlk1 Venus (Swanzey et al. 2016) . B6D2F1/J (Jackson 100006) females were used for 4N blastocyst injection experiments (see below). All animal experiments were done in accordance with the guidelines of the NYU School of Medicine IACUC.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
