Ethanol (96%); furfural; acetic acid; 2-butanone; hexanal; 1-decanol; n-hexane; nonane; dodecane; tetradecane; and hexadecane were obtained from Carlo Erba Reagents, Milano (Italy). HPLC-grade methanol and formic acid were obtained from Sigma Aldrich (St. Luis, MO, USA). Deionized water is produced by a Milli-Q Plus (Millipore system). Trans-resveratrol standard was obtained from Sigma Aldrich, distributed by Merck KGaA, Darmstadt, Germany.
