Cd138 clone b a38

Manufactured by Beckman Coulter
Sourced in United States, France

The CD138 (clone B-A38) is a monoclonal antibody that specifically recognizes the CD138 antigen, also known as syndecan-1. CD138 is a cell surface proteoglycan expressed on plasma cells and some other cell types. The CD138 (clone B-A38) antibody can be used for the identification and enumeration of plasma cells and other CD138-positive cells in various biological samples.

Flow Cytometric Analysis of CSF and Blood Immune Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
We performed flow cytometric analysis of CSF and blood immune cells for 348 and 301 treatment-naive patients, respectively, as described previously.14 (link) Flow cytometry data were available only for patients treated at the Klinikum rechts der Isar. We used the following antibodies for staining of B cells and plasmablasts: CD45 (clone HI30, BD Biosciences), CD19 (clone J3.119, Beckman Coulter), and CD138 (clone B-A38, Beckman Coulter) and analyzed the stained cells using a flow cytometer (CyAn ADP, Beckman Coulter). We then gated the cells on CD45 to select all leukocytes and subsequently on CD19 (CD45+ CD19+ B cells) and CD138 (CD45+ CD19+ CD138+ plasmablasts). We determined cell numbers using FlowJo v10 (FlowJo LLC) and calculated percentages of B cells and plasmablasts of all CD45+ cells.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
