Porcine brain sphingomyelin and phosphatidylserine were from Avanti Polar Lipids (Alabaster, AL, USA). Doxorubicin, actinomycin D and, unless indicated otherwise, all other chemicals were obtained from Sigma (St. Louis, MO, USA).
