Histone h4 antibody

Manufactured by Active Motif

Histone H4 antibody is a laboratory reagent used to detect and study the histone H4 protein, which is a core component of nucleosomes in eukaryotic cells. This antibody can be used for various applications, such as Western blotting, immunoprecipitation, and immunocytochemistry, to investigate the presence, distribution, and modifications of histone H4.

Histone Modification Analysis in Yeast Cells

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Yeast cells were cultured to mid-log phase, chromatin was extracted as described previously (38 (link)), whole-cell extracts were prepared by TCA methods. The proteins were separated by SDS-PAGE, and tranferred to Immun-Blot PVDF Membranes (BIO-RAD). 1× TBST (50 mM Tris pH 7.5, 150mM NaCl, 0.05% Tween 20) diluted primary and secondary antibodies were incubated overnight at 4°C and 1 h at room temperature respectively, the membranes were imaged by Amersham Imager 680 (GE Healthcare). Antibodies used of western blot: Anti-acetyl-Histone H4 antibody (Millipore: 06-598), Histone H4 antibody (Active Motif: 61521), Anti-Histone H2A.Z antibody (Millipore: 07–718), Anti-α-Tubulin antibody (Sigma-Aldrich: T6199), anti-myc antibody is prepared by our laboratory.

Histone H4 and CaBdf1 Regulation in C. albicans

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
C. albicans strains were grown at 30 °C in SC media to an OD600 of 0.5–0.8. Cells were lysed in FastprepTM (MPBiologicals) twice at 6.5 m s−1 for 1 min with intermediate incubation on ice. Histone H4 antibody was purchased from Active Motif (ref. 39269) and the CaBdf1 antibody was developed in house using a full-length recombinant protein injected in rabbits (Covalab).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
