Femoral Artery and Vein Catheterization

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The left femoral artery and vein were catheterized for blood pressure (BP) and heart rate (HR) measurements, and delivery of saline solutions, respectively. The distal end of the artery catheter filled with heparinized fluid (20IU/ml) was connected to a calibrated pressure transducer with disposable clip-on BP domes (model SP844, Memscap AS, Norway) coupled to an amplifier and recording device (Bridge 40Amp/PowerLab 4/35, ADInstruments, Australia). Data were collected throughout of the 30 min saline injections and analyzed with the blood pressure module for LabChart 8 software and plotted for statistical analyses (GraphPad Prism 8, USA). At the end of the experiment, a sample of arterial blood (0.5 ml) was collected for blood gas analyses (ABG, Stat Profile, pHOz Ultra, Nova Biomedical, USA).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
