Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
N-(2-fluorphenyl)-6-chloro-4-hydroxy-2-quinolone-3-carboxamide (R19) was synthesized and characterized as previously described [9 (link)]. Pluronic P123 (P123), TPGS, and Nile red (NR) were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). Phosphate buffered saline solution (PBS, 10×, pH 7.4), potassium bromide (KBr), and dimethyl sulfoxide (DMSO) were procured from Fisher Chemicals (Pittsburgh, PA, USA). Spectra/Por dialysis membranes with 3500 and 12,000–14,000 Da molecular weight cut-offs (MWCO) were obtained from Repligen (Waltham, MA, USA). Ultrapure water was prepared using a Millipore Direct-Q 5UV system (EMD Millipore, Burlington, MA, USA).

Solubilizing OTX008 Using SBECD

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
SBECD solutions with increasing concentrations were prepared using ultrapure water (Millipore Direct-Q 5UV system, Merck Millipore, Burlington, MA, USA), and the same amounts of OTX008 were tested to dissolve in them to reveal the solubilization ability of SBECD on OTX008. OTX008 was clearly dissolved in the 7.3 m/m% SBECD solution at a 0.75 mg/mL final concentration to obtain the OTX008-SBECD solution.

Tin(II) 2-ethylhexanoate (stannous octoate), ε-caprolactone (CL), methoxy poly(ethylene glycol) (mPEG) molecular weight (MW) 5000, Span 80, and thymoquinone (TQ) were obtained from Sigma Aldrich (St. Louis, MO, USA). Castor oil was provided by Philadelphia Pharmaceuticals (Amman, Jordan). Polysorbate 80 (Tween 80,) was purchased from RFCL Ltd. (New Delhi, India). Absolute ethanol, acetone, methanol (HPLC grade), isopropanol, formic acid, water (HPLC grade), and dichloromethane (DCM) were obtained from Fisher Chemical (Thermo Fisher Scientific, Waltham, MA, USA). Diethyl ether and dimethyl sulfoxide were provided by Tedia (Fairfield, OH, USA). Phosphate buffered saline (PBS) 10×, pH 7.4, was obtained from Biowest (Nuaillé, France). Ultrapure water (~18.2 MΩ·cm) was prepared using a Millipore Direct-Q 5UV system (EMD Millipore, Billerica, MA, USA).

Curcumin-Polymer Complexation Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Using a 10.0 m/m % polymer solution in ultrapure water prepared by Millipore Direct-Q 5UV system (Merck Millipore, Burlington, MA, USA), an excess amount of curcumin was dispersed, then stirred at 50 rpm for 24 h to reach equilibrium. The suspension was centrifuged at 4500 rpm for 20 min. The supernatant was frozen at −110 °C, and the sample was lyophilized using a ScanVac CoolSafe freeze dryer (Labogene, Allerød, Denmark). The complexes were stored at −20 °C until used in further experiments.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
