Mouse igf1 elisa kit

Manufactured by Abcam
Sourced in United States

The Mouse IGF1 ELISA kit is a quantitative assay designed to measure the levels of insulin-like growth factor 1 (IGF1) in mouse biological samples. It utilizes the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) technique to detect and quantify the target analyte.

Quantifying IGF-1 and Lactate Levels

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The levels of IGF-1 and lactate in whole cell lysates were measured using a mouse IGF1 ELISA kit (Abcam) and an EnzyChrom glycolysis assay kit (BioAssay Systems, Hayward, CA, USA), respectively, according to the manufacturers' instructions.

Quantifying GH and IGF-1 levels

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The medium collected from the cell culture was tested for changes in GH levels before and after drug treatment. To determine the effect of the drug in normalizing GH and IGF-1 levels in the animal model, blood serum samples collected before and after treatment were tested. GH and IGF-1 levels were measured using rat/mouse growth hormone enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit 96-Well Plates (Millipore, Billerica, MA, USA) and mouse IGF-1 ELISA kit (Abcam, Cambridge, UK), respectively, according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Quantifying IGF-1 Levels in Cell Lines

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
ID8EV and ID8PON2 cells were grown 2–4 days and each day serum starved for 12 h. Media was collected and IGF-1 levels were measured following manufacturer’s protocol using mouse IGF-1 ELISA Kit (# ab100695, Abcam). Briefly, loading buffer was used to dilute serum and cell culture medium 1:4 and 1:2, respectively, followed by overnight incubation at 4 °C. After washing three times with washing buffer, 1× biotinylated IGF-1 antibody was added to each well and incubated for 1 h at RT with gentle shaking. Following this, wells were washed three times with washing buffer and 100 μL of 1× HRP-Streptavidin solution was added. TMB solution (100 μL) was added, and was incubated for 30 min at RT in the dark room. Color density was measured at 450 nm after adding stop solution. Plasma IGF-1 levels were quantified as described above.

Hormone and Growth Factor Quantification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The serum levels of testosterone in male mice, 17β-estradiol in female mice, and free IGF-1 were determined by using the following commercially available kits respectively: Abcam Testosterone ELISA Kit (Cambridge, MA), Biovision Estradiol (Mouse) ELISA kit (Milpitas, CA), and Abcam Mouse IGF-1 ELISA Kit (Cambridge, MA). The assays were performed according to the manufacturers' manuals.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
