Mil 1α

Manufactured by Thermo Fisher Scientific
Sourced in Japan

MIL-1α is a laboratory instrument designed to detect and quantify the presence of interleukin-1 alpha (IL-1α) in biological samples. It utilizes an enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) method to measure the concentration of IL-1α. The core function of MIL-1α is to provide accurate and reliable data on IL-1α levels, which can be useful in various research and clinical applications.

Cytokine Quantification in Biological Samples

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The concentrations of cytokines hIL-33, hIL-1α, hCCL-2 (R&D systems), hTSLP, mIL-33, mTSLP, mIL-4 and mIL-1α (eBiosciences) in the cell supernatant, Lung homogenate and in the BALF were estimated using paired antibodies following manufacturer’s instructions.

BALF Cytokine Measurement in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
BALF were collected from euthanized mice by intratracheal injection and aspiration of 1 ml PBS. Cytokine levels in BALF or serum were measured by ELISA using the following paired antibodies kits: mIL-1α, mIL-1β, mIFNγ (eBioscience), mIL-18 (MBL Nagoya, Japan).

Evaluating IL-1 and IFN-γ Responses

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
To determine IL-1 responsiveness, mIL-1α (2.5 ng/mouse, eBioscience) was delivered in 0.1 ml PBS by IP injection. Peritoneal cells were processed and stained for flow cytometry. To determine IFN-γ production by NK cells, spleens were made into a single cell suspension and cultured overnight with mIL-12p70 (2 ng/ml, eBioscience) and/or mIL-18 (10 ng/ml, R&D). The next morning, 1× GolgiPlug (BD Biosciences) was added for 4 h. Non-adherent cells were removed and processed for ICS.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
