Vibrational, Morphological, and Thermal Analysis of Matrimid/g-C3N4 Mixed Matrix Membranes

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Vibrational information of the dopant and the Matrimid/g-C3N4 MMMs was retrieved by using a Thermo Scientific (Waltham, MA, USA) Nicolet iS50 Fourier-Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer. 8–10 mm Ø samples were cut from the films and their transmittance was measured at room temperature in a scanning range between 410 and 4000 cm−1, with a 1 cm−1 spectral resolution and 64 scans.
The morphology of the as-prepared samples was examined using field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), with a FEI (Hillsboro, OR, USA) QUANTA 200F device.
Thermogravimetric analysis (TG) was used to determine the thermal and/or oxidative stability of the materials. TG experiments were performed with a Mettler Toledo (Columbus, OH, USA) DMA/SDTA 861 device, heating the samples from 50 °C to 850 °C at a heating rate of 10 °C·min−1, under a N2 flow of 20 cm3·min−1.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
