Chitosan (medium molecular weight) 85% degree of deacetylation, acetic acid (glacial, ≥99.85%), sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS) and galactose were purchased from Sigma-Aldrich USA. Sodium pyruvate, glutamine, hepes, penicillin/streptomycin and Dulbecco's Modified Eagle Medium (DMEM) for hepG2 cell lines were purchased from Invitrogen.
