Transmission Electron Microscopy of Purified Particles

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
3.5 μl of purified particles were deposited onto glow-discharged, 300 Mesh Copper carbon-coated grids (Quantifoil, Germany). After a 1 min incubation at room temperature, excess liquid was blotted and the grids were stained with two successive drops of 1% uranyl acetate (3.5 μl each). The first drop was immediately blotted, the second was left for ∼20 s on the grids before blotting. Finally, the grids were air-dried before observation on a Jeol 2100 microscope of the METI platform (Centre de Biologie Intégrative, Toulouse, France), equipped with a LaB6 cathode and operating at 200 kV. Images were recorded with defocus ranging from 0.6 to 2.0 μm, on a Gatan US1000 CCD digital camera and DigitalMicrograph (Gatan, Inc.), at various magnifications corresponding to calibrated pixel sizes of 3.4, 1.7 and 1.1 Å.

High-Resolution Imaging of Mucin-GNP Complex

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
High-resolution transmission electron micrographs were obtained with a JEOL 3010-UHR instrument operating at 300 kV, equipped with a 2k × 2k pixels Gatan US1000 CCD digital camera.
Samples of purified mucin-GNPs complex were dried on a carbon-coated copper grid. The nominal magnification used to record the complex mucin-GNPS were x500000 and x800000.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
