Synthesis and Characterization of Rhenium-Benzotriazole Complex

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Benzotriazole
(99% purity) was obtained from Alfa
Aesar, whereas all other chemicals (≥99% purity) were obtained
from Sigma-Aldrich. These chemicals were used as received without
any further purification. The C6H6N3[ReO4] salt was prepared following the method described
in the literature16 (link),17 (link) and characterized in solution
(UV–visible spectroscopy) and in the solid state (powder X-ray
diffraction; see Figure 1) prior to this study. All mixed powdered samples were prepared by
pulverizing (3×) solid Re material and BTA (C6H5N3) using a mortar and pestle at room temperature.

Analytical-Grade Chemicals in Study

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
The chemicals used in this study are of analytical grade. The chemicals used are Cu(NO 3 ) Aesar), sulfanilamide (Sigma-Aldrich), sulfacetamide (Sigma-Aldrich), sulfathiazole (Sigma-Aldrich), sulfamethoxazole (Sigma-Aldrich), benzotriazole (Alfa Aesar) and bisphenol A (Merck). All the experiments were conducted using the deionized (DI) water (18.2 MΩ cm).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
