Calu 3 cell line
The Calu-3 cell line is a human lung adenocarcinoma cell line derived from the pulmonary tissue of a 25-year-old Caucasian male. The cells exhibit an epithelial morphology and have been widely used in research to study lung physiology and disease processes.

SARS-CoV-2 Propagation and Titration
The SARS-CoV-2 isolate hCoV-19/USA/MD-HP20874/2021 was obtained from BEI Resources, NIAID, NIH, and had been tittered on Vero E6 cells by plaque assay.
SARS-CoV-2 Isolate and Reporter Virus Propagation
The SARS-CoV-2 isolate USA-WA1/2020 was obtained from BEI Resources, NIAID, NIH, and had been passed three times on Vero cells and one time on Vero E6 cells prior to acquisition. It was further passaged once on Vero E6 cells in our laboratory. The virus has been sequence verified to contain no mutation in its original seed virus. A reporter virus (icSARS-CoV-2-mNG) that contains an insert of monomeric neon green (mNG) in the SARS-CoV-2 USA-WA1/2020 backbone was obtained from Pei-Yong Shi’s laboratory (University of Texas Medical Branch) at passage 2 and was further expanded once on Vero E6 cells (28 (link)) at the FDA.

About PubCompare
Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.
We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.
However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
