Minicollect k3 edta tubes

Manufactured by Greiner
Sourced in Austria

The MiniCollect K3 EDTA tubes are primary blood collection tubes designed for the collection of venous blood samples. They contain the anticoagulant K3 EDTA, which prevents blood coagulation during the collection process.

Mouse Blood Analysis Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood was collected from mice in MiniCollect K3 EDTA tubes (Greiner Bio-One). Samples were analyzed on a Genesis veterinary hematology system (Oxford Science).

Quantifying Engraftment in Mouse Xenograft

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood from mice was obtained by heart puncture and collected in EDTA tubes (Mini‐Collect K3EDTA tubes, Greiner AG). WBC count and hematocrit were measured using an animal blood counter (sciI Vet abc, Germany). For flow cytometry, erythrocytes were lysed using Gay's solution (10 mM KHCO3 and 75 mM NH4Cl, pH 7.4). Flow cytometry was used to determine the percentage of human CD45+ cells in the blood, lymph nodes, liver, and kidney (CD45 Monoclonal Antibody (HI30), APC, #17‐0459‐42, Thermo Fisher Scientific). Single‐cell suspensions were prepared by mincing organs through a 70 μm cell strainer (BD Biosciences, USA). All analyses were performed on a BD FACS Canto II™ instrument and calculated with FACSDiva software (v8.0.1, BD Biosciences).

Hematological and Biochemical Profiling

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Blood samples were collected in MiniCollect® K3EDTA tubes (Greiner Bio-One, Austria) for hematological analysis, which included the determination of hemoglobin concentration (Hb), hematocrit (Ht), mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), white blood cells (WBC), and red blood cells (RBC; SYSMEX XT-4000i™ automated hematology analyzer, Sysmex America, Inc.). The plasma levels of aspartate aminotransferase (AST), alanine aminotransferase (ALT), urea and glucose were determined using COBAS® 6000 automated analyzer (Roche Diagnostics, England). Additionally, the glutathione peroxidase (GPX) activity was estimated using Ransel Glutathione Peroxidase kit (Randox Laboratories, United Kingdom), according to the manufacturer's instructions.

Mouse Tail Vein Blood Sampling

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Bleeds were taken from the tail vein of 2‐month‐old mice. Bleeds were collected in MiniCollect K3EDTA tubes (Greiner) and analyzed on a Mythic 18 Vet hematology analyzer (Woodley).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
