Rapamycin and Gentamicin for Infection Model

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Rapamycin (MedChemExpress, Monmouth Junction, NJ, USA) was diluted to 1 mg/mL with sterilized water containing 5.2% Tween 80 and 5.2% polyethylene glycol 400. After the infection model was established, 2.5 mg/kg of Rapamycin was injected intraperitoneally once daily on days 1–5.
After the infection model was established, 100 mg/kg of gentamicin (Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd, Shanghai, China) was injected intramuscularly once daily on days 1–3.

Canine Monitoring and Aftercare Protocol

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Breathing and heart rate were closely monitored for each canine for 6 h after ablation. The canines were offered food and water 12 h after ablation. To prevent infection, each canine was intramuscularly administered 80 mg/kg gentamicin (Sinopharm Chemical Reagent Co., Ltd.) for one week following ablation. In addition, we carefully monitored the signs of haematuria, haematochezia, and pain in the canines for one month after ablation. Pain was assessed by the five assessment methods of Morton and Griffiths, which included weight, symptoms, appearance, innate behaviours and reaction to stimuli [19 (link)]. At the end of the experiment, the animals were sacrificed by injection of pentobarbital sodium (30 mg/kg).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
