Ain 93g

Manufactured by DooYeol Biotech

AIN-93G is a purified and standardized rodent diet formulation developed by the American Institute of Nutrition (AIN). It is designed to provide a nutritionally complete and balanced diet for laboratory animals, specifically rodents. The core function of AIN-93G is to serve as a reference diet for research studies, ensuring consistent and reproducible nutritional conditions across experiments.

Dietary Fiber Modulation in C57BL/6 Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Six- to eight-week-old C57BL/6 (B6) female mice were purchased from Charles River Laboratories (OrientBio). All mice were maintained under specific pathogen-free (SPF) conditions and each cage contained 3–5 mice. Mice were fed a normal chow diet (NCD) (6.0% crude fiber [Purina 5057], Purina), LCD (0.3% cellulose in AIN-93G, DooYeol Biotech), or HCD (30.0% cellulose in AIN-93G, DooYeol Biotech) (Figure S1).

Selenium and Zinc Supplementation in Mice

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Seven-week old male ICR mice were purchased from Central Lab Animal (Seoul, Korea). The animal breeding environment was adjusted to a dark cycle of 12 h light/12 h dark at a temperature of 23 ± 1 °C and a humidity of 40–60%. The mice were acclimatized in the laboratory room for one week and then randomly divided into four groups (n = 8/group). The control group was provided with a normal chow diet AIN-93G purchased from Doo Yeol Biotech (Seoul, Korea). The treatment groups (SZ, Lp, SZ + Lp) were fed the same normal chow diet mixed with Na2SeO3 (1.2 µg/g Se4+) and ZnSO4∙7H2O (5 µg/g Zn2+), 1012 CFU/mouse Lactobacillus plantarum SeZi, and 1012 CFU/mouse SeZn-enriched L. plantarum SeZi, respectively. The daily administration was conducted for 4 weeks. The protocols and facilities utilized in this animal experiment were approved by the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee of Seoul National University (SNU-180403-2-2).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
