Hem 7130 l

Manufactured by Omron
Sourced in India

The Omron HEM-7130-L is an automatic blood pressure monitor designed for home and clinical use. It measures the user's systolic and diastolic blood pressure, as well as their pulse rate. The device is equipped with a large, easy-to-read display and operates using an AC adapter or battery power.

Anthropometric and Blood Pressure Measurements

Height was measured to the nearest 1 centimeter. Weight was measured using calibrated Tanita HD‐380 portable electronic scales (USA) to the nearest 100 grams. Body mass index (BMI) was calculated by dividing weight in kilograms by height in meters squared (kg/m2). Blood pressure was measured using a digital blood pressure device, Omron HEM‐7130‐L (Omron Healthcare). Participants were asked to rest for 15 minutes before measurement. Blood pressure was measured 3 times at 15‐minute intervals. The first measurement was discarded, and an average of the last two readings was used. Hypertension was defined as anyone with systolic blood pressure ≥ 140 and or diastolic blood pressure ≥ 90 mm Hg or taking medication for hypertension.

A standardized digital BP monitor was used (Omron HEM-7130-L, OMRON Healthcare Manufacturing Vietnam Co., Ltd., Sourced from Haryana, India) to measure BP [82 (link)]. The measurements of SBP (in mm of Hg), DBP (mm Hg), and HR in beats per minute were noted once every 10 min (Figure 2).

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
