Epiquik m6a methylation quantification kit

Manufactured by Epigentek
Sourced in United States

The EpiQuik m6A methylation quantification kit is a lab equipment product from Epigentek that provides a simple and fast method for quantifying global N6-methyladenosine (m6A) levels in RNA samples. The kit uses a unique capture and detection antibody-based colorimetric assay format to measure m6A abundance.

Quantification of m6A RNA Modification

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Total RNA was isolated from purified parasites that were treated with vehicle or 500 μM IAA as outlined above. The amount of m6A modification was assessed from 300 ng total RNA using the colorimetric EpiQuik m6A methylation quantification kit as per manufacturer’s instructions (EpiGentek, P-9005-96). The m6A levels were determined from three or four biological replicates and significance was assessed using Student’s t-test assuming unequal variances.

Quantifying mRNA m6A Methylation

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Total RNA was isolated as above. The quality of RNA was analyzed using a NanoDrop1000 (Thermo Fisher, United States). The EpiQuik m6A Methylation Quantification Kit (Epigentek, P-9005-96, United States) was used to measure the global m6A enrichment of mRNA. 200 ng RNA was coated in assay wells from each sample. The m6A levels are colorimetrical quantified at a wavelength of 450 nm absorbance.

Quantification of m6A Methylation in mRNA

Check if the same lab product or an alternative is used in the 5 most similar protocols
Total RNA was isolated from cardiomyocytes using TRIzol (Invitrogen) according to manufacturer’s instructions. The quality of RNA was analyzed using a NanoDrop (). The global m6A enrichment in mRNA was measured by the EpiQuik m6A Methylation Quantification Kit (Epigentek, P-9005-48, colorimetric) based on manufacturer’s protocol. Each sample RNA (200 ng) was coated in assay wells. M6A antibody (ab195352, 1:1000) in solution was added to the assay wells separately at a suitable dilution concentration. The m6A levels are colorimetrically quantified at a wavelength of 450 nm absorbance.

About PubCompare

Our mission is to provide scientists with the largest repository of trustworthy protocols and intelligent analytical tools, thereby offering them extensive information to design robust protocols aimed at minimizing the risk of failures.

We believe that the most crucial aspect is to grant scientists access to a wide range of reliable sources and new useful tools that surpass human capabilities.

However, we trust in allowing scientists to determine how to construct their own protocols based on this information, as they are the experts in their field.
