Transfection and TGF-β1 Stimulation of Aortic Fibroblasts and VSMCs

Human aortic adventitial fibroblasts (AFs; CC-7014) and human VSMCs (CC-2571) were obtained from Lonza (Lonza, Walkersville, MD) and maintained in SCGM or in SmGM (Lonza, Walkersville, MD), respectively. Transfections were performed using Lipofectamine RNAiMAX (Invitrogen, Carlsbad, CA) according to the manufacturers' instructions.
